This workshop is tailored for beginners who want to have one day experience with CUMBIA. You'll Learn:
Basic steps and musicality of this dance
Paso Junto, Paso A'lante,
Paso Atravesao & Dos pasos.
Arm & Hat movements for men and women.
Partner dancing, group dancing.
Courtship dance choreography.

Salsa

The most popular Latin dance today; this spicy and fast dance makes your feet set the floor on fire, and that's not even talking about the heart of the dancers. This Afro-cuban rhythm began to evolve in the 1920's in NY's Harlem.
A blend of many instruments and colors in the musical scale, this dance began with delicious food nurturing the Cuban musicians as they gathered to enjoy the heritage from their Caribbean land.
You'll learn:
* the basic timing steps
* the 3 levels of Salsa basic steps: the Latin American, the North
American and the NY style.
Learn the difference between them.

Merengue

Enjoy the most festive of Latin dances. The national dance of Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo in Spanish). A fusion of French Minuet and the African dances. Merengue means "light & fluffy" and it's fast and smooth.
One of the easiest Latin dances to learn. Carlos Osorio makes it easy to learn. Experience a happy dance as you learn to lead and follow simple patterns and complex combinations, you'll be amazed at what you'll be doing during and after this fun workshop.

Learn the half-moon step, the ondulations, the Carnival walk, the ladies walk. Bare foot class, wood floors. Loose clothing and get ready to feel the warmth of the most joyful Latin culture: Brazil.
