Salsa... Sat. June 26, 2010 (12-3 pm)

The most popular Latin dance today; this spicy and fast dance makes your feet set the floor on fire, and that's not even talking about the heart of the dancers. This Afro-cuban rhythm began to evolve in the 1920's in NY's Harlem.

A blend of many instruments and colors in the musical scale, this dance began with delicious food nurturing the Cuban musicians as they gathered to enjoy the heritage from their Caribbean land.

You'll learn:

* the basic timing steps
* the 3 levels of Salsa basic steps: the Latin American, the North
American and the NY style. Learn the difference between them.
* Line dancing for all
* shines and styling
* dance patterns for couples
