| Reviews - Students & Clients say . . . |
"I began studying with Carlos in summer 2006, after taking some Latin dance classes in Brooklyn. Like most students, I wanted to work on salsa so I was a little concerned when he introduced Cumbia (dance). My concerns were unfounded. By practicing Cumbia I started to carry the rhythm in a way that I hadn't before. More important than any particular dance, though, is Carlos's sensitive, patient, and joyful instruction. I look forward to every class."

--oh, yes -- and thanks for the dance moves and helping us all find our attitude. With great fondness,"

"Thank you so very much for the wonderful job you did las night on the boat ride. Everyone had a wonderful time. You work wonders with people of all ages. I saw people dancing that struggle to walk. One lady commented she hasn't smiled in over 2 weeks and found herself smiling all evening. You are filled with a gift from God, thank you for sharing it with others."

"Dancing With Our Elders is the best activity at both Arbor Hill and Trinity Institution. I've seen many people who were "chair-ridden" become so enthusiastic that they now take the stairs, dance actively, bring a special recipe to share and sign up for other activities with glee. DWOE has changed their lives! The look so pretty (handsome) after class with big smiles. there are more friendships and their lives are much sweeter. Thank you Carlos! You are our own miracle worker!"

Cumbia means "celebration"
"To celebrate life one must have a story, an understanding that
we, humans, have the gift of transforming anything we are or do,
into something completely new." |
